In the era of Science and Technology, Biometric Technology is becoming more and more useful with its bunches of applications. Now a day there are very rare areas where biometrics not used. It is useful at shops, schools, offices, organizations, companies and libraries no matter how small or big it is. Biometrics has wide range of applications ranging from visitor management, access control system, biometric door locks, finger print readers and face recognition systems.

Biometric time attendance is one of the most powerful applications of biometric technology. It is widely used at schools, colleges, business firms, shopping malls, companies and organizations.

Biometric time attendance system used to track each and every person coming to your place is actually who he claims to be or not with its time and other details. It uses face recognition system to verify persons identity and record its time-in and time-out with all required details.

Advantages of biometric time attendance system:

It has many advantages over conventional time tracking used at organizations. Typically such organizations maintain a register book, where people entry their name, time-in, time-out and other required details but the problem with this manual system is inaccuracy, time consuming, unreliable and most important is less secure.

Biometric time attendance is very user friendly and easy to use; any person can use it very easily. It is very fast also, user has to see once in front of system and all details including its time will be recorded automatically. In this way it saves lot of time and still record details very accurately. One can avoid early punching, late punching and buddy punching very easily.

Many schools, college used Biometric Time Attendance to track their students attendance. The Biggest advantage of Biometric Time Attendance over manual tracking is better security. Many shops and shopping mall use biometric time attendance for security purpose and it really works a lot.

If someone wants to use it for business or organization, then they can easily integrate it to payroll systems, account systems and billing systems. So in that way it is very flexible also and it also shows that time attendance system can be used for all type of business and organizations with great flexibility.

In a nutshell biometric time attendance solution permits you to focus on your core business by giving quickest and easiest way to overcome your time tracking issues.

A car bomb that exploded at about 20:00 MDT Thursday (01:00 Friday UTC) in a violent area of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico killed several people and injured more.

Police spokesman Jacinto Seguro said Friday that Mexican federal police received a call that an officer was dead. Seguro went on to say, “When they went to check the car, there was a dead body in there, dressed up like a police officer, but it wasn’t one of ours. They put him in a civilian car but dressed him up in a municipal police uniform. That’s when the bomb went off. It’s like an act of terrorism.”

Federal police spokesman Ramon Salinas said the blast killed two officers, a paramedic, and one civilian, although Mayor Jose Reyes said that only three died. At least six others were injured, although reports have said the total injured may be as high as sixteen. Four remain in the hospital, including three paramedics and one civilian.

Mexican authorities say it was a car bomb, but counter-terrorism experts are still unsure as to what caused the vehicle to explode. Intelligence expert Fred Burton said, “For this to be an improvised grenade attack, in some capacity, it doesn’t surprise me.”

The Juárez Cartel, one of the two drug-traffickers in the area, claimed responsibility for the bombing in a graffiti message. “We have more car bombs,” the graffiti said.

Ciudad Juárez has a history for trafficking drugs to the United States, especially into Texas.

Before the explosion, the police arrested a suspected leader of the Juarez cartel, Jesus Armando Acosta Guerrero.

This year more than 7,000 people have died as a result of drug-related violence in Mexico since this year began. Attorney General Arturo Chavez on Friday said nearly 25,000 people have died in the last three and a half year period.

Choosing a residence is a big decision. With all of the property currently available, potential buyers need to weigh out the pros and cons of each different location. Today, there are several reasons to take a second look at Condominiums For Sale in Colchester.

Walking Distance to Local Sites

Condominiums tend to be located right in the middle of an urban area. This means that a lot of commerce is within walking distance. Residents can avoid taking out the car and instead, walk to the store, to the park and in some cases, to work. This adds to the convenience of owning a condo and saves money when it comes to gas and car maintenance.

Less of an Investment Than a Home

The down payment along with the monthly mortgage can be considerably higher for a home when compared to that of Condominiums For Sale in Colchester. For those looking to purchase their first property or individuals that don’t have a lot of money for a down payment, a condominium is an ideal alternative to a single family home. It makes property ownership more manageable and more immediate. For many, this makes a condominium an appealing option.

Low Maintenance

In addition to the savings on a down payment and the monthly mortgage, a condominium requires a lot less maintenance than a house. The smaller square footage decreases the maintenance costs and the decreased yard size tends to help with the overall savings for the property. While there is still plenty of space inside and outside of the condo, residents aren’t the sole person responsible for its upkeep. Even when factoring in a potential maintenance fee, the money savings is still significant.

When the time comes to find a new place to live, Contact Signature Properties of VT. While there are plenty of properties to choose from, there are real benefits to giving condominiums a second look. Because of the location, the convenience of walking becomes a real priority. And, with less of a down payment, a monthly mortgage, and maintenance costs, condos could provide a new residence with lots of money saving opportunities. Don’t miss out on the benefits that come with taking a second look at condominiums in the area.

Peter Yeats, who until his arrest in September was a sergeant with Sussex Police in England, UK, entered a plea of guilty on Monday to fraud by false representation. The charge related to lost and found cash that a member of the public had handed in to the police after discovering it on a bridle path.

Yeats was on duty in Hastings on July 19 this year when Lewes Police Station was given the plastic bag of money, totalling £3,500 in £20 notes. He used a police computer to read about the find on an incident database and rang his own force three times using the name “Kirk Rose”. He told officers he was from Cornwall and his wife had lost around £3,000 in the area the previous day.

Police launched an investigation into the veracity of these claims as they felt the condition of the money was so poor that it been left in the open for much longer. The calls were traced to Yeats’s police-issued mobile. He was found to have researched the location of the loss and created a false address for himself.

Yeats, who resigned from the police after being arrested, was charged under the Fraud Act 2006. Brighton Magistrates’ Court decided its sentencing powers were insufficient to mark the gravity of the offence and so remanded him in custody to be sentenced at a later date by a judge at Lewes Crown Court. Brian Noel, defending, described the incident as “a crazy five minutes.”

The Greek parliament has approved an austerity bill proposed by the government to help rescue the country’s ailing economy.

The proposal, which includes increases in taxes, as well as salary and pension cuts, passed with 172 members of parliament supporting, 121 opposing, and several abstaining; the proposal needed at least 151 votes to pass. There are 300 total parliament seats.

The vote comes after a debate that took the entire day. Meanwhile, rallies and strikes are being held around the country to protest against the measures; the protests have occasionally turned violent, with a firebomb attack on a bank killing three people yesterday.

The Eurozone and the International Monetary Fund had asked for austerity plans to be implemented so that Greece can access a rescue loan package worth US$146 billion in order not to default on debts. The austerity programme is estimated to save $38 billion. Greece also aims to lower the public deficit to less than 3% of the GDP in four years; at the moment it is at 13.6%.

Prime minister George Papandreou described the situation to parliament ahead of the vote, saying: “The situation today is simple – either we vote and implement the deal or we condemn the country to bankruptcy […] The future of Greece is at stake. The economy, democracy and social cohesion are being put to the test.”

Papandreou also expelled three Social deputies from his parliamentary team when they abstained from voting; however, his bloc still has a parliament majority of 157 MPs.

Finance minister George Papaconstantinou also commented that Greece will default on some of its $12 billion debt on May 19 if action is not taken, saying: “The state’s coffers don’t have that money. And because the only way for the country to avoid bankruptcy and suspension of payments is to take the money from our European partners and the International Monetary Fund.”

Opposition parties, however, say the measures will put too heavy a burden on the populace; the leader of the conservatives, Antonis Samaras, commented: “The dose of the medicine you are administering is in danger of killing the patient. You know that these measures have sparked a social explosion […] The citizens of this country have to believe there is a way out. Because whoever cuts pensions of €700 cannot convince anyone.”

The different PHP frameworks collectively make PHP tick as they come with several mutually-shared advanced features, and combine them with their own distinct capabilities. They stay affectionately true to the technology and give the users ample reasons to embrace technology in all its new forms.

Arguably the most popular server side scripting language used for developing web applications, PHP has powered technology masters to come up with innovations unfathomed a decade ago or so. This technology gives ample room for unprecedented leverage of imagination and knowledge. The applications developed using PHP exemplify high end functionality and sophisticated utilization.

Now, there are several PHP frameworks, with each having its own space in the development market. These frameworks collectively make PHP tick as they come with several mutually shared advanced features, and combine them with their own distinct capabilities. They stay affectionately true to the technology and give the users ample reasons to embrace technology in all its new forms. The most popular PHP frameworks include:

Cake PHP

An extremely easy platform to install, Cake ranks among the very best offerings of PHP. It is an amalgamation of some new age tools and the conventional PHP attributes that have made it what it is on this date. With a highly intuitive and resourceful Model View Control to enhance its usability, Cake allows easy customization and seamless prototype building. It is also a sort of modular framework which does not demand exclusive programmers all the time. Folks with average programming skills can also code in Cake PHP and come up with darn good apps.

Smarty PHP

Smarty PHP or Smarty Template Engine stays true to its name by staying smart. It is a highly intuitive framework that leans towards user friendliness. It does not take you to a mind trip if you wish to understand the code structure. So, the average programmers who wish to create not so emphatic applications find it harmonizing to work with. On the other hand, it gives a free rein to the advanced programmers who want to boil their product with everything that the technology has to offer. The interface is made such that it keeps everything abstract and hides the intricate details from the user. The whole bevy of extensions further help you create heady applications without going all out while writing codes.

Zend

Another popular PHP framework, Zend is a framework that lets you personalize applications the way you want. You create state of the art applications applying radical thought process. For those with a clear cut idea of what they want and how they want it, Zend proves to be an amicable partner as it gives them absolute freedom to go flat out creative. It also takes all the security concerns in its stride and makes it an extremely galling task for hackers to break into the application security algorithms.

Symfony

Symfony works in total symphony with the developer and his/her ambitions. For those looking to create cutting-edge applications that offer unequivocal benefits, Symfony is the go-to PHP framework. The extensive libraries and extensions make innovation a breeze.

Hire PHP programmers who can carefully evaluate your business requirements and measure them against the distinct features that each framework offers. PHP development outsourcing is an alternative that reaps equally good at times, better benefits.

Buffalo, New York —A proposed hotel that was supposed to be built at the corner of Elmwood and Forest Avenues in Buffalo, New York is apparently off the table. The former proposal was going to be called The Elmwood Village Hotel and would have consisted of 72 rooms and cost between $7 to $10 million American dollars to build.

Today several unknown individuals were seen removing a sign that was dedicated to the “Elmwood Village Gateway,” which signifies the beginning of the Elmwood Village at the formerly proposed project’s location.

Nearly an hour later the men replaced the sign with a different and unexpected sign: “For Sale: 5 commercial parcels and 1 carriage house, By: Owner.” Those 5 “parcels” are 1109-1121 Elmwood and 999 Forest Avenue, which is located in an illegal alley, according to the City of Buffalo, behind the 5 other properties on Elmwood. Hans Mobius owns all properties named in the sale.

Sam Savarino, CEO of Savarino Companies never owned the properties and has repeatadly told Wikinews in exclusive interviews that he still had a “contract to buy the properties” and on October 2, 2006 told Wikinews in an exclusive interview that he “extended” the “agreement to purchase the property[s] and will have it under contract for what we hope is a sufficient period of time.”

“He [Mobius] is undoubtedly concerned because he has lost some tenants and is a bit impatient. I think he has properly portrayed the situation,” said Savarino in an exclusive interview with Wikinews.

Savarino also says that there may be “legal issues” to work out now, before anything else can move forward, regarding the proposal.

“There are some legal complexities that must be sorted out before anything can happen there,” added Savarino.

The welcome sign was; however, not removed entirely. The sign was placed, facing the same direction of north, on the side of the Forest Plaza Art Gallery, a new art gallery located on the corner of Forest and Elmwood.

Nancy Pollina, owner of Don Apparel which was located at 1109 Elmwood, but closed on October 14, 2006 considers this a possible “victory” in regards to the lawsuit filed against the hotel to stop it from being built, alleging that several laws were broken, including not performing an Environmental Impact Study before the proposal was approved by the city, during its approval and the proposal was “rushed.” Patricia Morris, who operates Don Apparel with Pollina, Angeline Genovese and Evelyn Bencinich, owners of residences on Granger Place which abut the rear of the proposed site, Nina Freudenheim, a resident of nearby Penhurst Park, and Sandra Girage, the owner of a two-family residence on Forest Avenue less than a hundred feet from the proposed hotel’s sole entrance and exit driveway, were also plaintiffs in the lawsuit. They filed the suit with a lawyer representing them, Arthur J. Giacalone, on April 25, 2006 in New York State Supreme Court, but the case has never gone to a courtroom.

Giacalone believes that a press release issued in July regarding the project was nothing but a statement to “save face,” but that the placement of the for sale sign might be a way of convincing Savarino to speed up the sale of the properties.

“I thought all along that Savarino’s July press release might be no more than an effort to save face. But we have no way of knowing. Similarly, Mobius might have put the for-sale sign up in an attempt to pressure Savarino into closing the deal. There’s no way to tell,” said Giacalone in an exclusive interview with Wikinews.

In regards to the lawsuit, Giacalone thinks it may now be in “limbo.”

“The lawsuit still sits in limbo,” added Giacalone.
